Koeda Armchairは、樹木の枝葉の広がりをモチーフに表現したアームチェアです。
広大な自然とともに歩んできた旭川のものづくり文化を背景に、自然への配慮と共生の姿勢を静かな造形としてかたちにしました。
枝分かれした脚部は、樹木の枝を想起させるラインを描き、旭川の高度な曲木技術を活かした、新しい接合構造として成立しています。
また、緩やかな楕円形のアームは、旭川のおおらかな自然の広がりを体現した、包み込むような安心感を生み出しています。
Koeda Armchair is an armchair inspired by the expansive spread of tree branches and leaves.
Rooted in the craft culture of Asahikawa, shaped by its vast natural surroundings, the design expresses an attitude of respect for nature and coexistence through a quiet form.
The branched legs trace lines reminiscent of tree branches, forming a new joint structure realized through Asahikawa’s advanced bentwood techniques.
The gently curved oval armrests embody the openness of the region’s natural landscape, creating a sense of calm and enveloping comfort.
